3500 Players Set to Square off at Zayed Sports City This Weekend
Abu Dhabi, UAE, March 16, 2017– The Abu Dhabi-based Harlequins Rugby Club are pleased to present the Etihad
Airways / Abu Dhabi Harlequins Junior Rugby Tournament to take place at Zayed Sports City all-day, both days this
weekend. In its 12th year, the event is the second largest of its kind in the world and largest in the region.
“It is fabulous to see such a high level of interest in rugby continuing and growing in the region,” said
Tournament Director Derren Sanders. “We are looking forward to a fantastic weekend of rugby
played in the right spirit. We are grateful to our sponsors, particularly Etihad Airways and National

Established in 1970, the Abu Dhabi Harlequins Rugby Club is comprised of more than 1000 members
that make up more than 50 teams from Under 4’s up to the Veterans. The Club includes Senior Men,
Ladies, Vets, Juniors (Boys, Girls & Mixed), Touch and the inspiring Try Rugby Programme for children
with special needs.
