It’s been a funny old summer, but I’ve decided to carry on with the site to see where it goes. There’s been a massive change to the domestic rugby scene in the UAE, with clubs having to change the way they do ‘business’ off the pitch. At the same time, the entire cross border rugby competition has been changed. It’s been a torrid time for all involved, so I thought I should provide some kind of continuity.

This website remains the sole property of me – Max and my company, RuckinRugby and all opinions and feats of fantasticness are mine and mine alone.

ARFUWA

As of this summer I am no longer running the ARFUWA website, nor am I in any way involved in the player registration or fixtures/results service. I first got involved with it all when it was the AGRFU back in 2007/8 working with Martin Southern, Bruce Morton and Wayne Marsters. I revamped the website and set up the first player registration system, then provided some continuity through the shift to ARFUWA and competition changes etc, so it’s been a pretty good innings but I’ll be sad to no longer be a part of it.

Moving forward

This website will continue to cover the basic fundamentals of fixtures, results and league standings for the UAE and Cross Border competitions. I also want to cover a little more of the developing nations so please get in touch if you have any club rugby news from Syria, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon etc.
